Welcome to Jojo's World!
Jojo Dela Cruz (she/her) is a Filipino-American illustrator and designer based in New Jersey and New York City, with a BFA in Illustration from Ringling College of Art + Design (‘25).
The intersection between visual art and music has always been a source of inspiration and a theme she explores constantly in her work. How do certain colors, textures, and typography portray a certain genre; how does she interpret a sound into her visual vocabulary? Influenced by design movements and pop culture from the late 20th–early 21st century from hardcore to Harajuku, her aim is to bring an enlivening angle to any project with her alternative style to contextualize artists’ ideas and make them tangible.Â
Previously, she has interned at Flatspot Records and Sunday Drive Records.
Aside from illustration, she immerses herself in many different mediums and practices, from risograph printing to zine-making. And in her free time, she's scouring shops for toys and trinkets, dabbling in arts and crafts, or playing rhythm games. ^__^
